Ready for new year , new Err'thing

I always look forward to a new year , not to make a resolution, just to go over my "to do"list and aim even higher than the day before.. As my cousin says i am a "list" person..I have an actual list for everything , chores, goals , bills, shopping, calories, pounds, cars I've had , playlist for cd's I'm about to burn etc....... so now im on a new list my employer is relocating me to Los angeles or San Diego , my move will happen in Feb 2010, and at first it was bittersweet and i was turning more disgruntled by the day , but now i am excited and looking forward to my journey ..I'm excited and thankful that i still have employment , health insurance and my company will move me to a new spot , pay movers to move me , and my family is supporting my decision as i will try to recruit as many of y'all as possible to move in , or at least visit me 1x per month lol...so as i ring in the new year, i am ringing in a brand new life, hopeful for the best ... will keep you posted on this new journey ....the thing that makes me smile the most is when i tell people im moving to southern california most reactions are "oh you'll fit in" or "yea i can see you in L.A" ... let's see !!

Wow, i have recently started face book and i have connected with so many classmates , old friends , co workers, and last but not least family members i found this picture on my first cousins page on my dads side. As i child i remember seeing this photo of my Grandparents (my dads parents) and my dad and his brothers & sisters as a child. Since my dads passing i thought of all of the photos he had previously shared with me , and how i wished i had some of his childhood memories, so thanks to fb i finally have this one which happens to be one of my favorites ... a cousin from Oklahoman city,OK had this on her page...thanks family, and thanks dad for giving me the love of photography & photos...missing you so much, Lori

Ok to twit or not , i have been toying with this for the past few months ...i finally registered on twitter, but have yet to do anything ...now last night watching Oprah she has twitter and was online twitting folks, and had the king of twit on her show ,Ashton Kutcher he is the first person to have 1million followers on twitter..so please someone give me the green light are you ready to twit...?? I got it ....my i phone !!

Last week i posted that i wanted my apple iPhone...i got it yeahhhhh...change is good ,especially for me . So my old phone a pink palm centro, was in great shape and im like what am i going to do with it, i put it on craigslist it sold in 1 day. i was so excited i charged up all my other old phones sitting around wondering if they too will sale as fast.....after going through one of my phones after viewing my old pix sent to me , old sext messages, love notes, etc...i just cant bare to let it go, Be careful who you send your pix too, cause it sure was alot of phones on craigslist for sale , and maybe some of us aren't as careful to go through and erase all of them ...lol..anywhoo, will keep you updated on my new phone and all the perks it has.. i saw this pix below and laughed how many times have u tried to get the 'right' shot before baring all on the net ....

An I phone....why after much consideration i am considering leaving sprint, i started out with his brother nextel then moved to sprint after the merge, being that my phone hardly rings , and i am online alot more than before i think this will be my best move..this is on my wish/hit list will keep you posted if this becomes a reality ....

Beauty ,grace and class is how i would best describe the newly released White House portrait of First Lady Michelle Obama. She is stunning . Yet, the media and people in my circle are up in arms over her choice to wear sleeveless dresses in winter and on her portraits..I would have never thought about "the arms" until the news and friends are bothered by her choice..my only defense of the First lady is maybe she is proud of her toned arms and feels it is a better look on her, just as i would want to show off my favorite body parts ..we gotta work with are best right?? my opinion only whats yours ??

I haven't been truthfully honest i have been seeing someone, I've had my eye on him for quite sometime. He finally was attainable , so i snatched him up. He's great, err'thing i hoped for and some..Yes we've been intimate, and he's bigger than the last one in my bedroom, some have had bigger , but he's just right for me..Sunday we (rocked out to Bret Michael's bus tour)in the morning then that night he shows me his (big Love) Monday it was all about the (love of Ray J)
Tuesday night he (nip& tucked) me in , then we discussed all (the biggest losers) I've had & how i was no longer a member of (the bad girls club)..Wednesday we rest , Thursday we role play and he is McSteamy from( Grey's anatomy), and Friday night is our date night which we call (dateline)..hes the best puts me to sleep and shows me a little love in the morning if i have time.. Yes i did it broke down and got my 40 in flat screen !! I'm movin on up , finally got a piece of the pie lol

Its been a few days since I've blogged , nothing new , nothing exciting, all work and now play makes Lav a dull girl ..oh wait i went to chili's on Sunday and the NFL combine was on the flat screens in the bar area, and i enjoyed gawking at all the new NFL prospects i literally was glued to the screen..I'm thinkin , wishing & hoping then realized these young men are like 2-3 yrs older than my son..oh well it was nice.. for that moment !! that was the highlight of my week.... to date or not to date ??

Ok folks is starting to wonder , why Lav cant get a man ?? whats the problem ..what problem ?? being single ,whats wrong with that ?? they say 3 years is kind of long , my response is I've always had a boyfriend or husband and now i kind of enjoy being single , at least for now ..Dating can be exhausting..the hooking up,first date jitters,texts ,calls, introducing to family & friends , googling him seeing if he is on Meagan's law, criminal past, wondering if he can wait or will he be in a rush to uknowwhat!! and if we do , will he even know how.. will the kids like him, can he cook , does he have a crazed ex that will stalk him or better yet me ?? Is he a cheater like my exes ?? Is he on the down low ?? hmmmm all this and even more. So do i really want to date ??

I haven't really decided yet. However there are times when i do get lonely.I do eventually want to find love again. just not yet. I sometimes think maybe i should date a married man that way we wouldn't see each other alot and our encounters would be exciting and not real intense, but I cant lie to myself i am not built for that either. As much i would like to i just cant separate love and sex. they do go hand in hand. So my answer to date or not to, I think I will but will gradually jump back in ..wish me luck

In honor of Black History month a teacher in Mississippi comes up with this brilliant idea that they will dress like slaves & have a cotton picking day, luckily the theme was cancelled and they replaced it with career day, due to parents being outraged. Don't get me wrong this should not be forgotten , but just very inappropriate to have kids dress as slaves and have a cotton picking day...ohhellno !!!!

There were two stories in the news yesterday that are still lingering through my mind…the birth of eight babies and the death of a family of seven.One led the news this morning.The other moved quickly from breaking news.Eight babies were born to one mother at the Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles,California. Mother and multiples are doing well.Seven people…an entire family…were found dead after an apparent murder-suicide in California. notes left by the daddy that he and his wife had recently been terminated from positions as medical technicians at a Kaiser Permanente hospital in West Los Angeles. Okay Ya'll , yes i am officially an Obamaholic, and it feels good..I've been trying to keep blog very personal u know the whole mind, body, soul thing reinventing "sista's" and all. However like you i too am on Obama watch 24/7.. If you havent heard the Ty inc. just came out with these dolls (pictured above) sweet sasha & marvelous malia ..Ty inc. which put the dolls out this month had this to say ... There's nothing on the dolls that refers to the Obama girls,”. “It would not be fair to say they are exact replications of these girls. D.C was awesome !!!

I went to D.C ...It was all i hoped for and even more . we left our hotel which was in Baltimore,MD at 2:00 am which was (11pm) california time..we met with uncle george who picked us up at the airport we all rode in to washington together which took about 30 mins , we waited in long lines, we pushed, shoved , sang ,chanted obama, obama...Yes we can...yes we can ..we danced and met people all over the world ..Everyone was friendly, all walks of life , it truly was a life changing event..i was in excruciating pain because of the cold, it was cold and hard it felt like needles sticking in my fingers my back, i had on thermos, jeans , boots scarf & hat , long wool coat, with a hood , i have frost bite on my face..i felt totally defeated , but i was front & center during the parade and got to look in Pres Obama's face to see him smile , and to see Malia upclose and personal , i didnt see michelle or sasha they were on the other side ...My cousin text me during this most exhausting day and said "how does it feel to be a part of history ? It felt good...damn good , i would do it all again in a heartbeat

confessions of a.......fed up "baby mama"

I wasn't sure if i was going to post this or not , because I'm trying to be on some real positive ish for 2009...so I'm a single Mom, not one who cries or complains about it.. maybe because i was raised in a single parent household, and life was good ...in other ways i am not bitter, or atleast i thought i wasn't lol... i get no child support whatsoever !!! none, zip, zero stingy with dinero !! every blue moon he will deposit $100 in my checking acct well he did two times in 2008, and $300 for Christmas '08..My mom says this is an insult and she wouldn't accept it , but i do and i spend every dime on my son..so this year with the economy and all i have asked this man to please send $$ every month anything he could he said yes ...i have text him a total of seven times this year ouch , but he has done nothing ..its cool i wont ask anymore i will continue to take care of our son as i have been ..but here's the kicker , i get a text message from him and he is telling me to look at this video on youtube...i look at the video and imagine the shock & horror when all i see is him surrounded by stacks of money, gold , bling on his pinkies and on his neck , clothes , shoes, cars ..white women err' where...Life is good for him !! I'm not asking for anything else !! finally I'm a "fed up baby mama"

I hope so cause that means u made it back to visit ..So far all is well, new week means new things for lav...so far i have lost 2lbs yeahhh...i will post once a week on weight loss progress..havent actually started working out yet (yikes) but i have been watching what i have been eating and drinking tons of h2o..will actually start my workout this week..normally the Lil Guy & myself will go out a few times a week to eat so far i have been eating at home yeahhhhh...this is huge for us ..now for the finance , nothing major there but saving money because eating at home helps . I hope everything is good on your end , remember if you have tips do share..I am really trying to make this my "Best life ever" thanks Oprah...
